Some of our services include:
grading, paving, fire lines and underground utilities.
Our employees are trained to professionally deliver excellent work as cost-effectively as possible while exceeding client expectations.
Our projects range from $1 million to $15 million per project.
Responsibilities:
Maintain office plan room - soliciting, receiving, cataloging, filing, printing and distribution bid and contact documents.
Review, note and disseminate all revised documents.
Manage and maintain online plan room (ftp site).
Review bid documents to determine the project scope of work, site-specific conditions of importance, and contract requirements.
Ensure all required information is provided and cataloged accordingly.
Visit project site as needed to determine site specific conditions and restrictions.
Perform accurate, timely and organized quantity takeoffs.
Solicit vendor proposals:
compile and review for accuracy, completeness, specification, and code compliance.
Develop accurate and complete scope of work in the company estimation software.
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
Develop and maintain project schedules for bidding, project management, and contract administration.
Assist in updating and maintaining the company's estimation database.
Maintain appropriate industry contacts to insure best and final information on market pricing and trends.
Assist in the project hand-off to field.
Prepare work orders and project folders for the field.
Assist in the quote evaluation and selection of vendors and subcontractors.
Manage submittal/shop drawing requests, review, and submission for approval.
Assist with material ordering, deliveries, and coordinate with subcontractors.
Manage and track permit applications.
Coordinate with the surveyors:
providing them with the necessary information.
Assist in the preparation and submittal of as-built documents per project requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience using AGTEK Earthwork and Materials take-off software.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong math and organizational skills.
Detail oriented.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Experience with HCSS HeavyBid.
Experience in heavy-civil sitework, with knowledge in clearing, earthwork, underground utilities, and road work.
Familiarity with local codes and standards.
